8-Day Sightseeing Tour - Highlight of North Morocco

You will visit Casablanca, Fes, Marrakech and Essaouira in about a week. Experience the magical atmosphere of the imperial cities, colorful medina and the culture of the locals and their wonderful cuisine.

Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca


Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel where take a short rest. Then you will meet up with your guide for a general briefing. The rest of the day will be free. You can take a tour to the seaside (The Cornich) or have dinner at the famous Ricks café.

Day 2: Casablanca to Meknes to Volubillis to Fes


After breakfast, we depart Casablanca. Enroute to Fes, our first break is the capital Rabat. Two more hours later, we stop for lunch in Meknes and pass through the historical sites of the city. 


After lunch, we drive to Volubilis. Dating back 40AD, we take time to explore the triple arched tingis gate, the columns of the Capitoline temple, basilica, the courthouse and much more. 


After Volubilis, we continue to Fès. Check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free. Consider a traditional Moroccan Hamam to revive your body and mind.



Day 3: Fès 


Fès is the oldest and the biggest medieval city in the world. Its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds. This morning, we enjoy the guided tour of Fès El Bali, the old walled city. This fascinating Medina has 9400 alleys! 


We also visit the old Tannery and a madrassa (ancient religious school) dating back to the 9th century. 


The evening is your free time. Taking a cooking class or hamam or a night of Moroccan entertainment food restaurant. 

Day 4: Fès to Marrakech


We take a long journey from Fes to Marakech through the middle Atlas Mountains. You enjoy plenty of regular breaks on the way. 


Upon arrival in Marrakech and check-in to your hotel, we will give you an orientation walk in Jemaa el-Fnaa Square with your guide. You are then free to explore the colorful medina.


Day 5: Marrakech


After breakfast, we head over to the beautiful Majorelle garden, a botanical garden designed by French designer Jacque Majorelle in 1920. The garden has been owned by Yves saint lauren since 1980. There is also a Berber museum representing the various indigenous tribes of Morocco. The Yves Saint Lauren museum opened in 2017 dedicated to the life and works of Yves saint Laurent himself.


After lunch, we will give you a guided tour of the medina, including visit to the historical sites, the souks and Kotoubiya Mosque. In the evening free time, our guide can suggest a good restaurant for dinner in the modern section of Marrakech.

Day 6: Marrakech to Essaouira


After breakfast, we leave for Essaouira, a seaside town where a smaller medina is located next to the Atlantic ocean. We may stop on the way if we spot villagers’ goats climbing Argan trees along the road. Upon arrival and an orientation walk, you will be free to walk around, have a coffee at an outdoor cafes and some local cuisine for dinner. 

 


Day 7: Essaouira to Casablanca


Visit the fish market in the morning. After lunch, we travel north on a highway along the Atlantic coast back to Casablanca.

 

Day 8: Depart Casablanca 


Our amazing journey ends here after checkout transfer to the airport 3hrs before your flight time.
