8-Day Hiking Tour - Three Valleys Trek Plus Toubkal Summit 

This is one of the best high altitude trek of Morocco. You will pass through different Berber villages with breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and the plains, and then ascend Jebel Toubkal (4167m), North Africa's highest peak.

Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech


You will be pick up at the Marrakech Airport by members of our team. We will escort you in our mini buses to the hotel where you can refresh prior to dinner. Here you will enjoy the opportunity to get to know your fellow guests and team as we dine together. After dinner, you will be offered a brief for the next day as throughout your stay to ensure you are always prepared.

Day 2  : Marrakech - Oukaimeden - Tizi n Addi - Tachdirth  (6 hours)


 Today, we start with a short climb to cross the pass Addi, a magnificent view over the valley Ousrtik and distant peaks of mass Toubkal then by passes the mountain of Okaimden 3700m. Lunch shortly after the station Ski, the highest in North Africa. Then we join the beautiful Valley High Atlas Tachddirt, with a splendid view of the mountains and the valley. An easy descent down to our village at night, lodging at Tachdirth

Day 3: Tachdirth – ikkis – tizi n’Aguersiwal – aguersiwal – Matat (6 hours walking)


After breakfast, we set off walking down Assif  Imnane valley, passing through several Berber  hamlets. Then we start climbing up to Tizi n’Ageursiwal (2000m). Once we go through the col, we will go down the winding mule tracks to the  village of Aguersiwal. Lunch here. After lunch, we set off going up the valley of Matat. Overnight at a local gite here.

Day 4: Matat - Tizi Oudite - Azib n’Tamsoult


From the Matat valley, we will set off an a 6 hour trek into the Azzadene Valley. Along the way, we will pass Tizi Oudite at 2,250m, the Ait Aissa Village, Tizi oussm Village and finally Azib n’Tansoult. Overnight in the Azib n Tamsoult mountain refuge at 2300m.


Day 5 : Azib n Tamsoult - Tizi Agelzim - Toubkal Refuge (6 hours)


Today, we begin with a fairly stiff climb through  Ighouliden waterfalls out of the Azzadene Valley, to the Toubkal Refuge over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas Mountain Range. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut) where you’ll likely be sharing a bunk room with othe trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next morning. Early sleep for a very early start tomorrow morning!

 


Day 6: Toubkal refuge - Toubkal Summit - Toubkal Refuge (8 hours)


Today, depending on weather conditions, we will start trekking very early  for the optional attempt for the summit of North Africa's highest peak, Jebel Toubkal (4167m). This is a fairly strenuous, though non-technical ascent, involving some scrambling over steep scree slopes. The view from the high ridge are superb. Once we have summit of Jebel Toubkal, we will return by the same path to our base near the Toubkal refuge. 

 


Day 7: Toubkal Refuge – Imlil – Marrakech


From the refuge, we will return to Imlil this morning and drive back to Marrake. Once we arrive, you are free to explore the city’s colourful souks and perhaps take a stroll around its celebrated Djemma El Fna Square. A feast for the senses, the square is a wonderful confusion of noise and colour, especially at nights, where you will find the streets alive with storytellers, musicians & jugglers, the perfect place to shop for some last minute present, or just sit at a cafe and watch the spectacle unfold before you.

 

Day 8: Departure Day


Today will be free until we pick you up from your hotel and drop you at the airport three hours prior to your flight.

If you plan to arrive a few days before the tour, we can pick you up from your hotel (instead of the airport) on the morning when we leave from Marrakech. Please contact us to confirm.
